About Us
We are a Transfer School that belongs to the NYS Performance Consortium and partners with Outward Bound and CAMBA's Learn to Work program. We have a well-established, school-based Transformative Justice Action Team and our students engage in Project Based Learning and Individualized Post-Secondary Planning.
Our Mission
It is our mission at the James Baldwin School to provides students with an education that fosters community, creativity, inquiry, and problem-solving; centers every learner’s humanity; creates compassionate and socially conscious individuals positioned to make a positive impact; and encourages young people to see the future of the world in themselves and one another.
